Jen’s Story

We were getting final checks before going home on day 3 and this is when concerns were raised. Things very quickly deteriorated and by that evening he was being blue lighted to Glasgow hospital.

We very nearly lost him at this stage but he fought for a further 7 days but unfortunately lost his fight at 10 days old.

He took his last breath in my arms. 

Unfortunately we don't fully know what happened however a post mortem discovered an infection which overwhelmed his body. This may have caused his deterioration or it could've been a side effect of something else.”
