Simba's Fundraising Promise

Our Commitment to High Standards

We pledge to uphold the Fundraising Code of Practice. We will oversee fundraisers, volunteers, and third parties working with us to ensure compliance with both the Code and our promises. Our organisation will strictly adhere to all applicable charity and fundraising laws.

Clear, Honest, and Transparent Communication

We are committed to honesty and will never exaggerate or mislead. Donations will be used exactly as promised, and we will provide clear, truthful information about our work. We will make it easy to understand how to donate or amend regular contributions. If a third party fundraises on our behalf, we will be open about the relationship and any associated financial arrangements. Should questions arise about our fundraising expenses, we will explain them and demonstrate how they support our mission. Our complaints process will be straightforward and accessible, with all decisions based on clear evidence.

Respecting Your Choices and Privacy

Your rights and privacy are paramount. We will not pressure you to donate and will honor your decision if you choose not to give or wish to stop contributing. Where required, we will seek your consent before contacting you for fundraising purposes. If you ask us to stop contacting you or to change how we communicate, we will respect your wishes. We will collaborate with services like the Telephone, Mail, and Fundraising Preference Services to ensure you remain in control of the communications you receive.

Fairness and Sensitivity

We are committed to treating donors and the public with fairness and understanding, tailoring our approach to your needs. We will avoid using images or language that could cause distress or anxiety. Additionally, we will conduct our fundraising activities responsibly, ensuring they do not disrupt or inconvenience the public.

Accountability and Responsibility

We will manage our resources wisely and always consider the impact of our fundraising on donors, supporters, and the wider community. If you are unhappy with any aspect of our fundraising efforts, you are encouraged to share your concerns. We value all feedback and will respond appropriately to both compliments and complaints.  We will record and monitor the complaints we receive, sharing this information with the Fundraising Regulator when required.
