We are delighted to launch our 2025-28 strategy, ‘Honouring the 1 in 4’, which sets out our vision, values and objectives. We are committed to working together to ensure bereaved families receive the support they need following the loss of a baby and babies are remembered and honoured, now and always. https://simbacharity.org.uk/our-strategy/
“We want every family in Scotland to have an opportunity to honour and remember their baby, whenever the time is right. The new strategy outlines our approach for the next three years and is underpinned by an operational plan, which highlights the key actions we will take to achieve our strategic objectives. To monitor progress of our strategy, we will report quarterly to the Simba Board of Trustees, and we will communicate progress through a published annual impact report. 2025 marks twenty years since the inception of Simba. It has been quite a journey and having a robust plan in place provides a good foundation for Simba to continue to be here for the next 20 years and beyond.” Sarah Pryde-Smith, CEO
“2024 has been a year of reflections and recalibration and I am delighted to see the strategy come to fruition after months of reviewing, listening and collaborating to ensure the next 3 years are focussed and impactful. Bereaved families are at the heart of everyone we do and we are committed to developing meaningful operational and strategic partnerships to ensure we achieve our vision and expand our reach. On behalf of the board of trustees, my thanks to our staff, volunteers, supporters, and partners who continue to work for and on behalf of Simba and bereaved families across Scotland.” Theresa Fyffe, Chair of the Board
